Imagine if digital tipping wasn’t just a way to show appreciation but became part of a bigger solution. One that builds financial security for the people who rely on tips the most.
In South Africa, cash tips keep many workers afloat—petrol attendants, car guards, hospitality staff. But cash comes with risks: theft, lack of savings, and no financial safety net. What if we changed that?
What if tipped became more than a tool for tipping and formed the backbone of a secure, cashless ecosystem? A system where tips go straight into accounts that can be used for essentials (groceries, transport, school fees) without needing cash in hand. Where workers have access to financial literacy tools, savings options, and a real sense of security.
This isn’t a pipe dream. The technology exists within tipped. The demand is there. The opportunity to build something better is right in front of us.
What’s stopping us from making tipping part of a bigger change?
